Our history

Rebellion was born on October 27th, 2008, as an offline advertising agency focused on serving small businesses. Rebellion with a backwards "R". To make it very clear that our proposal was to do communication totally different from what we saw in the market.​​​​​

We had no idea, but at that moment we were starting to make history. That advertising agency, which began in a converted room of a house we shared with another company, and which at that time was composed of three partners, an intern, and a designer, would reposition itself in 2011 and become an agency specializing in Ecommerce and Digital marketing. At a time when Digital marketing was just arriving in Brazil and practically nobody was talking about it.

To communicate this new phase, we decided to create an event. It was Social Web Day - at a time when Digital marketing was synonymous with social media - which would later become Digital Business Day. Through this free monthly event that we held for years, thousands of people had their first contact with Digital marketing, and we ended up helping to create and foster a market that was practically non-existent until then in the interior of Sao Paulo state.

For the first edition of this event, we invited Daniel Sollero, then head of Digital marketing at WMcCann. After returning to Sao Paulo, Daniel called us. He had liked us and wanted to know if we were interested in partially serving some of WMcCann's clients: Nestle, Microsoft, Mastercard, HP, Colgate-Palmolive, Pfizer. At that moment, our game started to become big time, and in a way, we realized our dream of working for Washington Olivetto, the Pele of world advertising and partner at WMcCann.

In 2016, we merged with two other agencies and had the opportunity to go beyond Digital marketing and also become a Press relations, Offline advertising, and Live marketing agency. A lot of personal growth. And the realization that entrepreneurship is one of the greatest exercises in self-development that someone can go through. Learnings that no money in the world can buy and no international MBA can bring. Much gratitude for who we became along this journey.

 

In 2020, the merger was dissolved, and Rebellion returned to the market independently.
